who we are

The Refinery is a design studio specializing in custom handcrafted concrete countertops, sinks, fireplace surrounds, tiles, furniture and other architectural surfaces for residential and commercial applications in greater New England. While staying true to our environment, The Refinery offers clientele throughout New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine and Vermont the chance to own artwork that merges form with function for daily use. Concrete is the fusion of natural materials that can be cast into any shape, color, and texture. The design possibilities are limitless.

We love

a design challenge.

We work hand in hand with interior designers, architects, builders, and homeowners to design a product that merges form with function. From simple countertops to floating sinks and curved panels, our work not only stands out but will complement the project as a whole.

We have

over 15 years experience.

Since our first countertop was born, we have spent uncountable hours honing our craft. Through trial and error, collaborations with other industries, and filling sketchbooks with designs, we continue to push ourselves as craftsmen to create unforgettable products.

We offer

handcrafted products.

At The Refinery, we transform rough and raw materials into beautiful, sophisticated, highly detailed products. Graceful contours and organic inspired designs created with bruised knuckles, sore muscles, and lots of pride.

It is a delicate process, and the end result is so sleek, angular, and attractive that you can easily forget about concrete’s rough reputation.
